How far will online gaming takes you?

Have you ever thought of the future of your online gaming life when you get too obsessed? Most of the online gamers does not think that way. This is because, when you are playing any form of games, you have an objective of accomplishing that particular game without thinking of any other things that happens around you. You will only be focusing only on the game. Playing games are fun at times and when you cannot get what you what from playing that game you will be bored or you might as well be mad. These things are the symptoms of showing how addicted a person can be when playing online games. Besides that you have to admit to yourself, sometimes you just want it to be more. Like the past few posts that we have posted, there are always advantages and disadvantages of online gaming. Still, take time to think of how far will this take you to in the future.



As for this title of my post, I wanted to share some information that gamers MIGHT want to think about. Recently, when I was "googling" on Google.com, I have read some interesting articles about online gaming, the good and the bad. But the one that catches my eyes to share with you guys are about some bizarre Online Gaming incidents that was posted by Daniel Scocco on DailyBits.com dated December 4, 2007. In his article, he was writting about "Top 6 Bizarre Online Gaming Incidents". It is very scary in a way when I was reading through it and I never thought that these things can actually happen to an online gamers. I will only share the most "bizarre" points that he had written in his article.



In that article, point number one(1) was telling about "Legend of MIR 3 player stabs fellow gamer to death. It is back in 2005 in Shanghai a 41 years old man stabbed his fellow gamer repeatedly in the chest that causes his death. Taken from the article, "The reason? Zhu sold the “dragon sabre,” a weapon that they won jointly in the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).
According to the China Daily, Qiu Chengwei went to the police first, but after being told that virtual items were not protected by law, he decided to make “justice” with his own hands.
Qiu Chengwei received a life sentence."




The second point number three(3) is about a Chinese girl in the year of 2005 who had nicknamed herself "Snowly" has died of exhaustion after playing "MMORPG World of Warcraft" three days in a row. It is stated oin the article, "Interestingly enough, her fellow game players held a virtual funeral inside the game, as reported by Yahoo News China."



There are more incidents that happened in the past few years and still not including this year ahead. It was also reported that there are also teenager who gets arrested by stealing virtual furniture.Do you want this happen to you and your fellow gamers in the future? If you say 'no', then you have to take your part on giving some bounderies in your interest of playing online games. A lot of people do not think that online gaming is harmful,well think again!
