New online games based on old characters

There are many online games software that are available in the current market including many new games that just recently launched such as Dota.

In the games market, there are several market leaders that has always been a favourite to game enthusiasts worldwide, including games from Sega which are Sonic the Hedgehog and Monkey Ball. Besides that, other game developers such as Konami, EA Games, Sony Computer Entertainment, and Namco also has games that are still popular among gamers until today. These classic games include Metal Gear Solid, Need For Speed, Pacman, Gran Turismo Racing and Crash Bandicoot.

Any game enthusiast that has been around since the early and late 90's will recognize this names as the games that has changed the gaming world and made game play a whole new experience.

Although there are many new games coming up in the market, many game enthusiasts are demanding for game developers to come up with a new game based on this classic games mentioned above. Some game developers has already started to develop new adventures that are based on the same characters in previous versions. For example, Vivendi mobile games has recently developed a Crash Bandicoot Racing game ( CTR Racing) for the iphone and ipod application.

I think that to boost the game market, Game developers should create online games that are based on this classic characters. I can assure you that many of us who grew up in the late 90's miss playing these games that were so popular when we were kids.

Let me know what games you miss playing and remember playing when you were a kid. Do you think that they should develop new adventures for these beloved characters that we were so obsessed of when we were younger?

Cheat on Online Gaming?

If you think you have seen many cheaters around you such as cheating in exams(which is very common), cheating with parents, cheating with boyfriends/girlfriends there are no exception with cheating in online gaming. Cheating in online gaming involves game codes that single or multiplayer online gamers used to skip the hard parts of the game. Is this really fair for other players who actually won the game with their strategy and skills? I bet your answer is a NO.

Online gaming has been the 7th heaven for for cheats, especially when they allows player to come up with a username which is "anonymous". Software is difficult to secure and new hacks tend to spread like wild fire on the net once they have been discovered. Cheaters cheat because they want to impress people, or ruin the game for others, or in recent times possibly because they want to acquire "game currency" which can be sold for cash on Ebay.

Cheat codes can be removed from multiplayer versions, but early games weren't really designed to deal with cheating. A decade or so ago just being able to play a computer game over the internet was an impressive feat. It wasn't long though, before the availability of hacks and cheats began to ruin gaming for the majority.

Unfortunately there is a multitude of ways to cheat in most online games. One common form of cheating is for two players on different teams to be in communication with each other, either through instant messaging software or telephone, to gain advantage over the other players. The effectiveness of this strategy varies from game to game, but there is still no way of combating this kind of cheating yet.

What do you guys think about online gaming cheaters? Is it fair for the others?

Cool Online Gaming portable devices

You dont have to play online games only through your PC or laptop, There are other fun cool gadgets that allow you to play online games.

The most popular device that allows game playing through a wireless connection is Playstation Portable or PSP. Some of the games for this console such as the Metal Gear Solid allows you to connect online and play with other players in the network.

Besides that, there is also the Ipod Touch. Besides being a music and video player, there are tons of game applications that users can dpwnload from the Itunes store that feature games where the user can play with multiple players if they have a wireless connection. Besides multi playing, the user can also compare high scores with other players.

Other than that, we have the Nintendo DS game console where the user can purchase game softwares and can either play the game with or without an internet connection. They will need a connection in order to play with other players in the network and compare scores.

Although, there are limited games that offer multiple players feature through a network with this devices. Should the game developers come up with more online game features for this devices? Or do you think that a portable game device that is created solely for online gaming purposes should be created. I think that it would be a huge hit in the game market industry.
But what do you guys think of this?

Online Games vs Software based games

Which one do you think is better? To play online games and to acquire its full features, you will need an internet connection to be able to fully enjoy the game as it allows you to connect with other gamers.

Meanwhile software based games only requires you to install the game once and does not require an internet connction to be able to play. So, basically software based games are more simple and user friendly.

But still there are benefits and disadvantages in both this gaming types. I am looking forward to reading your comments about this.

Online Gaming Advanced way of Gaming

Do you still remember those simple days way back in the late 80's and early 90's when microgenius, and game boy game consoles were the craze among youngsters.

Back in those days, people did not care much of the high resolution of the game screen, or the 3D features the games offer. People only used to care of the fun time the game will offer them.

Besides that, in those days, games consoles were simply designed to give users a fun time. Anybody can learn how to operate the game consoles back in those days. Nowadays, with online gaming features, gaming has become something advanced and confusing to operate for those who do not have much IT experience.

So what do you think? Do you guys prefer the simple games of the past or the advanced games of today. In my opinion both has their advantages and disadvantages. But I do miss the simple days when I can take my Game Boy with me anywhere and I wouldn't need an internet connection to have a fun time.

I am looking forward to know what you think of this :)
